How design helps shape the Health 20 Summit in Geneva
Since 2021, I’ve been helping shape the branding and design of the Health 20 Summit at the World Health Organization in Geneva — a forum that brings together global health leaders, policymakers, investors, and international organisations to tackle some of the most urgent health challenges of our time.
My first H20 Summit was fully remote. Zoom backgrounds mattered — and one speaker memorably outshone the rest with a full-sized grand piano behind him. Things have evolved since then. Using my Brand Sprints process, I’ve helped lead the digital and creative output for this globally significant event — developing brand identity, digital design, exhibition materials and web platforms that speak to the seriousness of the issues at stake while remaining clear, accessible and human.
The most recent summit, held last week on 19–20 June, featured a keynote from Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, and a powerful reflection from Dr Sir Jeremy Farrar on the collective sense of loss felt by many people worldwide — a grief born from seeing hard-won rights, global standards and public trust undermined.
It’s great to support a platform that plays a real role in global decision-making — especially when the need for joined-up, visionary leadership in health has never been greater.
