When MSM Law approached us, the challenge was not to create a new logo or a more modern website. The challenge was to better express who the firm had already become.

Led by Director Eoghan McKenna, MSM Law had evolved into a Belfast-based practice providing clear, accessible legal advice across the island of Ireland, with cross-border capability and an expanding Dublin presence. The firm had built a strong reputation through its work, but its brand and website no longer reflected the clarity of its positioning or the experience clients received when they engaged with the firm.

As Eoghan explains:

“We wanted a website that reflects how we work with clients every day. People come to us because they need clear advice at important moments in their lives. Our job is to listen carefully, explain clearly and act decisively.”

That observation became the foundation of the entire project.

Too many law firms still organise their websites around themselves. Their departments. Their services. Their expertise.

But legal problems do not arrive neatly labelled.

That insight led to a simple strategic shift.

Instead of organising the website around what MSM Law does, we organised it around what clients need to understand.

The result is a calmer, more accessible experience built around the firm’s promise:

The visual language follows the same principle. Clean typography, structured layouts and a layered graphic system reflect the disciplined thinking that sits behind effective legal advice. The design avoids both legal clichés and corporate heaviness, creating something that feels modern, approachable and unmistakably Belfast.

For Brandlogik, the project demonstrates a wider truth about professional services branding.

The strongest brands are often the clearest.

As Brandlogik Creative Director Eugene Burns explains:

“MSM Law already had the expertise, reputation and client relationships. Our role was to create a brand and digital experience that expressed those strengths more clearly. When strategy, language and design all point in the same direction, people understand what makes a firm different much more quickly.”
